Tao Li is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He is looking for highly self-motivated students from the ECE Ph.D. program at IUPUI. The RA positions are expected to start from Spring 2021 or Fall 2021. A successful candidate is expected to conduct research on one or multiple subjects in following areas including: security and privacy in mobile and IoT systems, secure AI and machine learning, smart health, mobile crowdsourcing and sensing, and wireless networks. An ideal candidate is expected to have:

– An earned master degree in CS, EE or a relevant area. Outstanding students with bachelor degree will also be considered.
– A solid background in any one of the following subjects will be a plus: mobile computing, security/cryptography, machine learning, communications & networking, algorithm design, optimization/game theory
