Postdoc positions in BME at UNC Chapel Hill

The Neuromechanics Lab in  Biomedical Engineering at UNC and NC State has openings for two postdoctoral research associate positions.


The first position focuses on neural-machine interface. The candidate will conduct research involving signal processing and control of robotic hands.

The second position focuses on neural stimulation. The candidate will conduct research involving peripheral nerve or spinal cord stimulation, targeting motor or sensory functional impairment of clinical populations.

Education requirement:
A PhD in biomedical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, physiology, neuroscience, or in a closely related area.

Qualification and experience in one or more of the following:
Previous experience in signal processing, machine learning, and control of robotic devices
Previous experience in electrical stimulation of neural tissue
Previous experience in working with human participants, especially clinical populations (e.g., stroke, tramatic brain injury, or arm amputation)
