Postdoctoral Scholar Position on Smart Manufacturing - UCF

The Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) atthe University of Central Florida (UCF) has a postdoctoral scholar opening. Thisposition is available immediately, will be open until the opening is filled. Theresearch focus of this lab is to develop new computational methods and tools forsmart manufacturing systems using sensing and artificial intelligence technologies.Example research thrust areas include (1) data-driven smart manufacturing; (2) real-time manufacturing process monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostics; (3) reliability engineering and quality control; (4) cyber physical systems.Desired skills include signal/image processing, machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering optimization or engineering physics.

An ideal candidate is expected to have anearned Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field such as appliedmath. Previous experience in prognostics and health management, sensors, data analytics, computer programming, and process monitoring are preferred.
