Multiple funded doctoral research assistant positions are available in the DIVE Lab within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Texas A&M University. Texas A&M University is renowned for its world-class engineering programs, which is ranked the 12th by US News & World Report (2018). The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers top-ranked Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs. The DIVE Lab conducts foundational research in machine learning and deep learning and applies them to solve challenging real-world problems in biology, neuroscience and medicine. Members of the DIVE Lab not only publish papers in top-tier venues, including NIPS, ICML, KDD, TPAMI, TMI, Bioinformatics, NeuroImage, but also achieve top performance in open challenges, including brain circuit reconstruction challenges using cutting-edge deep learning technologies. Candidates are expected to pursue a PhD degree and have strong programming and/or mathematical skills.
