(急招) EECS PhD Openings at University of South Florida, Tampa, FL

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF) invites applications for the Research Assistant/PhD Student position.

Research Topic: Robust and Efficient Architectures and Algorithms for Data-driven Intelligence

Place of Work: Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida.

Principal Investigator: Morris Chang, http://chang5.myweb.usf.edu/

Description: The Research Assistant will closely work with the PI and the project team in the process of development, testing and implementation of novel AI/ML tools, algorithms and methods. The selected candidate will also participate in the preparation of technical reports and peer-reviewed publications, and the dissemination of project results at professional meetings.

We are looking for excellent, highly self-motivated and hard-working PhD student applicants. Ideal candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field, with proficient coding skills, solid mathematics, security and machine learning backgrounds. Prior research experience is a big plus but is not necessary for B.S. applicants. We are open to any exceptional candidates.
