Education is an issue that people, especially those parents, have always been concerned about. Recently, a question related to homework arises: is it beneficial for students’ development to assign them homework everyday. From my perspective, it is rather improper to give students assignment everyday, for limited time left for development of personal interests as well as heavy pressure it brings about.

To begin with, everyday school work will no doubt leave students fewer time to do their own things. With a number of assignments given by teachers everyday, students must spend most of their leisure time to finish them, resulting in that they have few opportunity to find and develop their own interests. For example, students in my middle school are assigned numerous homeworks,including Chinese, physics, math English and so on, everyday in school. Therefore, the majority time after school are spent in their homeworks. In this case, most students even have no time to play with their friends after school, let alone develop their own interest. Thus, it is of great harm to students to give them homework everyday.

In addition to fewer time left for developing students’ own interests, homework assigned everyday put a heavy pressure on students’ shoulder. Students, those who are in primary school in particular, are not mature enough to cope with variety of homeworks, leading to a heavy pressure on them. Take a recent policy for example, the Chinese government states that primary schools are not allowed to assign homework to their students, which is because that the government has realized that students are under so much pressure that some of them even begin to hate about study. Accordingly, the stress brought by everyday school homework is too much for students.

Admittedly, assigning homework to students has its advantages. By doing homeworks in time, students are able to absorb the knowledge learned from class more throughly and thus lay a solid foundation of knowledge. Besides, finishing homeworks provides students with a feeling of satisfaction, which is of great importance in studying of a certain subject.

To sum up, although several benefits that giving students homework offers students, given its more severe side effects it brings, including limitation of time for personal development and heavy pressure students should burden, it should not be carried out.

  "assign them"这个地方的主语变成了老师‘,用被动比较好；结尾用问号

  改为：is it beneficial for students’ development if they are assigned homework everyday？

result in + v-ing/n一般不跟从句
改为 resulting in  having little opportunity to find and develop their own interests.

改为：the majority of time

另外建议楼主可以加一段 辩证看待这个问题：是否 give assignment everyday还取决于课程的性质，比如文学类要多花时间去阅读更多书籍来提升自己，挖掘自己的兴趣所在；而有些类似数学学科，则需要每天的练习或者公式推导
