Our VLSI faculty have been slow to inform our webmaster which details to move to the Computer Engineering research group, of which VLSI is now a sub-group. (Therefore, you need to select "Computer Engineering" as your research area).

贴几个官网上没写清楚department code的学校的小米回复：
UTD：
The only code needed for GRE and TOEFL Score Reporting is the UTD Code:  6897

UVA：
We do not need a department code.
We have had a few issues with the pdf that we are working on. They should be straightened out in a day or so, and that will fix the pdf for the application. Sorry for the inconvenience.

UCR：
They will be fine.  You actually didn't need to include any department code.  All ETS test scores are sent to us electronically and automatically upload into our online campus system where all departments can see them.  So, you do not need to resend them.

2)  We will need your transcripts officially translated, most students useWES
3)  You would need an MS to apply for a PhD.  You can earn your MS here and continue on to your PhD
4)  I have attached a copy of our graduate manual that may help you.
5)  We will review your application once we have all of your supportingdocuments.  We don't wait for a due date
6)  Since we can't directly admit you into the PhD program, we wouldautomatically admit you to the MS program

In response to your inquiry, we accept financial statements and copy of your passport sent after your application is submitted. Please scan and send these documents to usci20@usc.edu as they are needed to initiate and process your I-20 quickly should you be admitted.

Transcripts may be sent from you provided that they are in the unopened, sealed envelope that they were sent in from the university. If they are not received as such they will not be considered official. If you attended several universities, you may collect your transcripts from those universities and send them in a single package. Please send your transcripts to the following address:

answer: 24是助教的最低要求，但是如果你不要奖的话103是最低的要求。严格卡分但是你可以刷分，我们取最高分。

Hi Staci,After decided to apply for UIUC, I have checked the application system. It is a very nice system! But I still have some questions to ask or confirm.

1.In the following form, I have downloaded the form, but I can't edit it. Does it mean that I should fill the form by hand and send you through mail?

2.I have also seen the form of financial aid. Frankly speaking, I want a financial aid for that my family is not very rich. But I still conern that if filling this form will diminish my chance to get enrollment into UIUC because UIUC is my dream school!

3. I have taken TOEFL exam twice. In the first time, I was ill and didn't perform well, only got 89. Therefore, should I include the two scores in the application form?

Thank you for your interest in our graduate programs at Rice University.

If you wish to apply, please visit our website for more information
regarding application requirements, Spring and Fall 2013 admission
deadlines, and our online application system, which you must use to
apply. Please be sure to follow all of the instructions by providing us
with the necessary information and by uploading all of the required
documents. Please do not mail any documents to us or they will not be
considered in your application. This includes transcripts, which have to
be uploaded electronically into the online application, no exceptions.

Regarding the GRE and TOEFL, we do require official scores. Please
contact ETS and request that they send us your scores by the deadline.
Our school code is 6609, and our department code is 0402 for the GRE and
78 for the TOEFL. If you have taken the GRE and/or TOEFL prior to
application, please note that your scores are only valid for 5 years. If
your scores have expired, you must provide new scores. Also, Rice
University does not have a minimum GRE score required for admission. We
will accept your scores from ETS if they arrive after the January 6th
deadline; however, it is very important that you report your scores
accurately on your application for review.

Regarding TOEFL waivers, as stated on our website, applicants who
completed a previous degree at either an American university or a
university whose primary language of instruction is English is qualified
for a TOEFL waiver from Rice University. If you meet this requirement,
you need not indicate so on your application as this waiver will be
applied automatically when your application is under review.

Regarding transcripts, we do not require official copies prior to your
acceptance; however we do require an electronic copy of your
transcripts. Please upload electronic copies of your transcripts (these
can be scanned from the official copies if your university does not
provide unofficial electronic copies) into the application site when you
are applying. We will request official copies only if and when you are
accepted into Rice.

Regarding letters of recommendation, in our online application, you will
provide us with your recommenders’ email addresses. When you submit your
completed application, our system will automatically send an email to
your recommenders with a link to the recommendation portion of our
online application. They will fill out the recommendation form and then,
if they choose to, upload a letter of recommendation. All letters of
recommendation must be completed this way, no exception. Please do not
mail letters to us, or they will not be considered in your application.

Our application site is currently open and accepting both Spring and
Fall 2013 applications.  Please note that we only accept MCS
applications for Spring admissions. If you wish to apply to our PhD
program, you must apply for Fall admissions. Also, please note that we
are not accepting MS applications for this admissions season. Please
remember that applicants are only considered for the program to which
